A legally registered non-governmental organization in Rwanda, dedicated to empowering those the world often forgets — with dignity, inclusion, and lasting change.
Nkurage For Charity Organization (NFCO) is a legally registered Non-Governmental Organisation in Rwanda, granted Legal Personality under Certificate No. 1005/RGB/NGO/LP/05/2024 on 2 May 2024.
NFCO works to create a brighter future for children and youth through two interconnected areas of action: youth empowerment and child education.
Through youth empowerment, NFCO creates opportunities for young people to discover and develop their talents, build skills, access leadership opportunities, and become active contributors to their communities. Through child education, we work to ensure that vulnerable children have access to education, support, and opportunities to learn and develop their full potential.
Our work is guided by the principle of “Nothing For Us Without Us.” We believe that sustainable change is created with communities not for them. By using Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), we listen to the voices of children, youth, families, and communities and build solutions around their strengths, experiences, and aspirations.
NFCO is committed to ensuring that no child is left behind in education and no young person is left without the opportunity to discover their potential, develop their abilities, and build a meaningful future.
Established as a legally registered NGO in Rwanda to serve the most vulnerable communities.
Co-designing every program with communities under the "Nothing For Us Without Us" principle.
Interconnected programs spanning economic, educational, health, and mentorship pillars.
Long-term commitment to building inclusive, resilient communities across Rwanda.
The values and commitments that shape everything we do at NFCO.
To empower youth and advance inclusive child education through sustainable, community-driven initiatives that promote opportunity, dignity, leadership, and the full potential of every child and young person.
A future where every child has access to quality education and every young person has the opportunity, skills, and confidence to thrive, lead, and contribute to society.
Dedicated people guiding NFCO's mission with experience, integrity, and passion for inclusive development.
